I grew up in Farnham and still spend a lot of time in the local area. I usually have a creative project on the go and suffer greatly from shiny object syndrome, which I believe is hereditary, and therefore completely out of my control.
I can't imagine how I'd spend my time if I couldn't create. There is something special in the process of transforming raw materials into a beautiful - or practical - finished product.
After a recent encounter with my own mortality (breast cancer), I've gained a new appreciation for time and how I use it. This has led me to create a lifestyle and business filled with the excitement and joy of creativity, both mine and others. Over the past few years, I've met many talented artists and makers, and I've always felt a calling to share their work with others. This calling inspired me to create the artful South.
